Role Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate mortgage loan applications and assess creditworthiness.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of applicants' credit profiles.
  • Review and verify applicant documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with loan officers to determine loan eligibility.
  • Recommend loan approval or denial decisions based on credit evaluation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage loan products and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing borrower concerns promptly.
  • Prepare reports on loan approvals, denials, and risk assessments.
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures for credit evaluation.
  • Engage with external stakeholders such as real estate agents and appraisal companies.
  • Monitor ongoing loan performance and follow up on delinquent accounts.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills.
  • Support team members in achieving departmental goals.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and cooperation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Credit Officer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage loan products and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software.
