Job Description: Analyst/ Senior Analyst Private Credit, Loan Instrument Portfolio & Fund Accounting

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated professional with 3+ years of experience in private credit, loan instrument portfolio management, and fund accounting. The role involves supporting investment operations, managing loan portfolios, and ensuring accurate fund reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial instruments, accounting principles, and investment operations in private markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan Instrument Portfolio Management

  • Monitor and maintain private credit and loan instrument portfolios, including direct lending, syndicated loans, and structured credit.
  • Assist in loan trade settlements, reconciliations, and maintenance of loan servicing systems.
  • Support credit analysis and risk monitoring, ensuring compliance with covenants and loan agreements.
  • Coordinate with investment teams to track portfolio performance, cash flows, and repayment schedules.

Fund Accounting

  • Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly NAV calculations for private credit funds.
  • Record journal entries, accruals, and valuations for debt instruments and related securities.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, positions, and investor allocations.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Assist with audit, tax, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Investor & Reporting Support

  • Generate portfolio performance and investor reporting packages.
  • Ensure data accuracy across internal systems and external administrators.
  • Assist in responding to investor queries and due diligence requests.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Partner with investment, operations, and compliance teams to streamline workflows.
  • Enhance reporting capabilities by leveraging technology and automation tools.
  • Support implementation of new systems and processes to improve efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in private credit, loan operations, or fund accounting (buy-side, fund administrator, or financial institution).
  • Strong knowledge of loan instruments (syndicated loans, direct lending, CLOs, private debt structures).
  • Proficiency in fund accounting principles, NAV calculations, and reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with financial software such as Investran, Wall Street Office, Geneva, or equivalent.
  • Advanced skills in Excel; knowledge of SQL or VBA is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
