The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership, ensure consistent food quality, design creative menus, maintain high standards of hygiene, and drive overall kitchen efficiency. This role requires strategic planning, multi-property coordination, and the ability to elevate the brand's culinary identity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage culinary operations across all Hotel Sonar Bangla properties.
- Develop, standardize, and implement menus, recipes, and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, hygiene, and safety.
- Train, mentor, and guide chefs, kitchen staff, and F&B teams.
- Conduct regular audits of kitchen operations, food storage, and production processes.
- Innovate new dishes and concepts aligned with the brand's identity and guest preferences.
- Maintain cost control through effective planning, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Coordinate with General Managers, F&B Managers, and Procurement for seamless operations.
- Monitor market trends, seasonal ingredients, and competitor offerings to keep menus fresh.
- Handle recruitment and performance evaluation of culinary staff.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, statutory, and audit standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef / Corporate Chef in a multi-property hotel group.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Expertise in Indian, Continental, and Multi-cuisine operations.
- Knowledge of food costing, budgeting, and kitchen administration.
- Ability to manage multiple locations and travel as required.
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institute preferred.
- Creative mindset with a passion for high-quality food and presentation.
