We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Technology Management

In this role you will:

  • Design and implement Avaloq-based IT solutions aligned with business goals, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Developing the most appropriate Avaloq IT solutions in line with the solution design to meet customer needs, ensuring continuous improvement with responsibility to write the unit & integration tests.
  • Ensuring products and services maintain compliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining group controls within the SLA and resolving remediation activities swiftly.
  • Ensuring operational stability, integrity, and availability of products and services supported by the Engineering Team.
  • Managing the performance of the deliverables in line with benchmark objectives, including productivity, quality, and resiliency.
  • Providing Technical leadership and execute Avaloq projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Collaborating with business analysts and project managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications using Avaloq's model-driven architecture.
  • Providing expert consultancy to optimize Avaloq solutions, leveraging its customization features to enhance business processes.
  • Engaging in continuous learning to stay abreast of the latest Avaloq developments, including its integration capabilities and best practices.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members to foster a collaborative environment and enhance team capabilities.
  • Facilitating workshops and training sessions to promote knowledge sharing and skill development within the team

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 14 years of IT experience, including 6–8 years of hands-on Avaloq development and parameterization.
  • Deep expertise in Avaloq parameterization, including scripting and core platform customization.
  • Strong domain knowledge of Private Banking and Wealth Management.
  • Extensive experience in PL/SQL programming and a good grasp of Avaloq reporting and interfaces.
  • Awareness in key Avaloq modules such as Avaloq STEX, Corporate Actions, Payments, Settlements, Credit, and Finance and expertise in at least one module.
  • Ability to understand user requirements and provide solutions using Avaloq parameterization, Unix, and shell scripts.
  • Proficiency in developing IT solutions aligned with solution design, ensuring continuous improvement and responsibility for unit and integration tests.
  • Excellent analysis, design, and coding skills, with a focus on debugging and problem-solving.
  • Experience in validating proposed solutions with business representatives and technical teams.
  • Ability to define and document solutions and changes, producing comprehensive documents supported by structured analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile practices and hands-on experience with control-m, Unix, and DevOps tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to handle specific issues and queries from projects and Engineering team members.
  • Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members to foster a collaborative environment and enhance team capabilities.
  • Avaloq Certification is added advantage
