Location: Remote (Work from Home)
Work Days: Monday to Friday
As an Outreach Team Lead, you'll manage daily outreach operations, mentor junior specialists, and make sure every campaign meets its performance goals — from prospecting to placement.
Role Overview
The Outreach Team Lead will act as the bridge between the outreach team and the Outreach Manager, ensuring seamless execution of link-building campaigns. You'll manage inboxes, review campaigns, guide outreach specialists, and maintain editor relationships — all while ensuring that Anchorial's quality and efficiency standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Supervise and guide a team of outreach specialists on day-to-day tasks.
- Distribute tasks based on workload, priority, and skill level.
- Conduct daily stand-ups or check-ins to ensure targets are on track.
- Train new hires on tools, outreach sequences, and campaign personalization.
- Review email templates and ensure tone, personalization, and strategy align with Anchorial standards.
Outreach Execution
- Manage prospecting, lead qualification, and list cleaning across and

- Optimize sequences for better deliverability and response rates.
- Handle editor conversations, negotiate placements, and manage follow-ups.
- Track and update campaign data in CRM.
Performance & Reporting
- Track open, reply, and placement rates for each specialist.
- Conduct weekly reviews with the Outreach Manager to discuss performance and bottlenecks.
- Maintain data hygiene and ensure timely reporting of live placements.
- Identify low-performing campaigns and suggest optimizations or A/B test ideas.
Relationship Management
- Maintain and update Anchorial's CRM of editors and publishers.
- Build and nurture relationships with webmasters, agency partners, and bloggers.
- Ensure communication with editors remains professional and brand-aligned.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong command of and for prospecting, sequencing, and enrichment.
- Experience using different email marketing tools.
- Excellent knowledge of Ahrefs.
- Understanding of email deliverability, spam filters, and inbox rotation techniques.
- Proficient in using Google Sheets, Monday, and Slack for daily operations.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication and leadership qualities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Self-driven, organized, and proactive.
Qualifications
- 1.5–3 years of experience in outreach or link-building roles.
- Prior experience leading a small team or mentoring outreach specialists is preferred.
- Familiarity with SEO and backlink metrics (DR, UR, traffic, anchors).
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Marketing/Communications preferred).
