Role Summary:

The Manager/Associate is crucial to the success of fundraising for various impactful programs of the organization. S/he will work towards strategic fundraising & building partnerships for the organization. He/she will work closely with Senior Management on planning and execution of fundraising strategies and undertake extensive research in building a potential donor database

Reporting to Senior Management

Experience 2-3 years of relevant fundraising experience

Vertical Fundraising & Partnerships

Location Any metro/tier-1 cities in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat

Employment Type Full-time with possibility of remote work

We are looking for someone with-

  • Understanding of the NGOs ecosystem and challenges
  • Strong understanding of fundraising ecosystem
  • Knowledge and skills in finding potential donors and networking with them
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Skills in writing concise and winning concept notes/proposals
  • Excellentcontent writing, speaking and presentation skills
  • Passionate for socialchange at scale

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

Research

  • Identify new funding prospects - Foundations, Corporates & HNIs, through online research and networking etc.
  • Identify strategic non-profit events and awards to attend and network with relevant stakeholders
  • Building a prospective donor database and networking with the potential donors
  • Fundraising Strategy & Implementation
  • Devise fundraising strategy for the organisation
  • Prepare winning proposals and pitch to prospective donors
  • Assist in preparing timely funder reports and other requirements
  • Building a community of donors, enablers and well-wishers of the organization

Fundraising Communications

  • Coordinate with project teams to collect and create impactful content for periodic donor reports and

    proposals
  • Coordinate with teams and stakeholders to collect/create success stories, quotes, testimonials, pictures,

    videos for donor social media
  • Monthly newsletters to donors and well-wishers to engage and update stakeholders
  • Execute partnership press releases and online media visibility

Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in related field
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of work experience with similar role
  • Understanding of current fundraising ecosystem and emerging landscape in India

Skills and competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in the English language is amust
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Multi-tasking and result oriented
  • Proficiency in MS-Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of other designing software or Apps shall be an added advantage.
  • Open to travel for meetings & networking events across cities
  • Resilient to work pressures and periodic demands for quick-and-deep work.
  • Proven ability to work proactively, independently and as part of a multi-sectoral team in a multicultural environment
