Job Summary

The Asst. Sales Manager for Uni-Automation's Domestic Industrial Business will drive sales growth by combining technical expertise with sales insight to promote and sell its products. This role involves engaging with customers in the domestic industrial sector, understanding their needs, and delivering solutions. The position requires up to 50–60% travel within the India to meet customer, attend trade shows, and support sales initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to explore new markets and opportunities, contributing to the growth of Uni-Automation's domestic industrial business.

  • Generate enquiries, references and explore new business opportunity in the assigned region.

  • Collect information & evaluate client's applications to assess the enquiry to give best solutions.

  • Manage and interpret both new and existing customer requirements – to understand, anticipate and practically meet their needs.

  • Offer customers a product that best satisfies their needs in terms of technical specification, quality, price and delivery.

  • Provide pre-sales technical expertise and product education to new and existing customers.

  • Calculate accurate and competitive sales quotations and prepare tenders, proposals, and techno-commercial documents to meet customer deadlines.

  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions to meet both customer and business needs.

  • Analyze business potential, competitors & Prepare business plan.

  • To develop distributors / dealers network in assigned area.

  • Analyse costs of sales, to be able to make informed pricing recommendations for core and new business opportunities; and propositions in emerging markets.

  • Develop strategies to generate a consistent pipeline of leads.

  • Managing Demand Generation pipeline month-on-month to meet business targets.

  • Attend and actively contribute to Sales meetings to keep colleagues informed about customers and your product range.

  • To prepare & give company presentation to customers.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with all other departments to ensure solutions meet client needs. Relay customer feedback to internal teams to drive product improvements.

  • Payment collection from customers.

  • Coordinate with factory for dispatch of material as per customer need by date.

  • Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market gaps to identify new business opportunities.

  • ERP Utilization: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect and customer interactions using ERP software.

  • Post-Sales Support: Provide technical troubleshooting, training, and after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and foster repeat business.

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in industrial automation, instrumentation, or related fields.

Skills:

  • Sales & Business Development

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
