Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and driven Area Sales Officer to manage and expand our dealer network in Maharashtra who can travel and generate the business in areas like Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Latur, Nanded and Nasik.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the steel industry, strong interpersonal skills and a results-oriented approach to dealer management and sales growth.
Job Description for Area Sales Officer role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing dealers.
- Appoint new dealers in untapped markets to increase market penetration.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Monitor dealer performance and ensure timely order placement and payments.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor activities and pricing.
- Coordinate with internal teams for order fulfilment, logistics and after-sales service.
- Prepare and submit daily FTD report.
- Conduct regular market visits and dealer/fabricator meetings.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Graduate in any discipline (B.Com, BBA preferred); MBA/PGDM in Sales/Marketing is a plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years in dealer sales/channel sales; preferably in the steel, metal, TMT bars industry.
- Location Knowledge: Familiarity with the geography and dealer network across Maharashtra.
Skills:
o Strong negotiation and communication skills.
o Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.
o Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
