We are looking for an experienced Python developer who can help fix and optimize an existing Upstox trading API integration. The system is built around real-time trading logic, including signal processing, order execution, and trailing stop-loss mechanisms.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and fix existing issues in the current Upstox API implementation.
  • Ensure seamless authentication, connection stability, and WebSocket handling.
  • Debug and resolve trade execution or order placement errors.
  • Optimize Python scripts for better real-time performance and reliability.
  • Work with existing trading logic (SMA, EMA, trailing stop loss, etc.) to ensure accuracy.
  • Test and validate the trading flow in a paper trading or sandbox environment before deployment.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Python (async, requests, threading, or asyncio).
  • Proven experience working with Upstox API (V2) or other broker APIs (e.g., Zerodha, Angel One, etc.).
  • Good understanding of trading concepts (orders, stop loss, trailing stop loss, targets).
  • Experience handling WebSocket data streams in real time.
  • Ability to debug, trace logs, and improve code reliability.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments (Ubuntu) is a plus.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience building algorithmic or automated trading systems.
  • Knowledge of pandas, NumPy, or similar data handling libraries.
  • Prior work with real-time market data feeds.

To stabilize and complete an existing Python-based trading system connected to the Upstox API, ensuring smooth real-time performance and reliable order execution.
