Job Description: Segment Head - Retail Segment (PAN India)

Department: Sales - IMSAFE

Location: Mumbai

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to drive business growth in the B2C (Retail) market segment by implementing effective sales strategies and building a strong retail network. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team, achieving sales targets, identifying new market opportunities, and fostering long-term customer and channel relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve defined sales targets in the retail segment.
  • Implement a professional and process-oriented sales approach across the team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams for seamless operations.
  • Identify key retail markets and explore new business opportunities.
  • Establish and position products for long-term value and brand recall.
  • Drive retail-specific schemes and initiatives as rolled out by the company.
  • Provide regular feedback and updates to the management and escalate issues when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate / Engineering Graduate
  • Preferably with a Postgraduate Degree / Diploma in Business Management

Experience:

  • Total experience of 15+ years
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in leading sales teams, preferably across PAN India
  • Strong background in channel sales with expertise in building retail networks and appointing distributors/channel partners

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong customer engagement and relationship management skills
  • Leadership skills with the ability to drive, guide, and motivate teams
  • Proficiency in implementing uniform sales strategies and processes
  • Strong analytical, planning, and execution skills

Travel Requirement:

  • The role involves regular travel to meet customers, partners, and regional teams across locations.
