Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Revenue/Sales Operations Analyst with 5+ years of experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced B2B SaaS environment. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in analyzing key sales and marketing metrics, creating data models, and building comprehensive reports. You should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills and be proficient in working with Data Warehouses and ETL processes. This role requires you to work with large datasets, develop insights, and deliver actionable reports that will drive key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Marketing Data Analysis:
- Analyze sales pipeline metrics, marketing performance, and customer journey data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to understand key performance metrics and provide actionable insights that influence business decisions.
Develop and refine reporting frameworks that allow for better tracking of lead generation, sales conversions, and customer retention.
Reporting & Dashboards:
- Design, build, and maintain comprehensive and visually engaging reports and dashboards using tools like Omni, Tableau, HubSpot, SFDC to track sales and marketing performance.
- Ensure real-time reporting of key metrics to business stakeholders and make data accessible and understandable for non-technical audiences.
Automate reporting processes and improve existing reporting to provide better business intelligence and insights.
Data Modeling & Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain data models that support accurate sales forecasting and performance analysis.
- Build predictive models to forecast future sales performance, customer acquisition, and retention based on historical data.
Analyze sales data to help refine pipeline management strategies and improve conversion rates.
Data Integration & ETL Processes:
- Work with data warehousing and ETL tools to integrate data from multiple systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketing platforms, etc.) to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to design and optimize ETL processes that deliver clean, consistent, and actionable data for reporting and analytics.
Maintain and optimize data pipelines to ensure seamless integration and high-quality data for sales and marketing analysis.
Sales Pipeline Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate and assess the sales pipeline to identify gaps and suggest improvements to increase pipeline efficiency and conversion. Provide actionable insights on lead scoring, deal stages, and sales team performance based on data-driven analysis.
Work closely with the sales leadership team to align metrics with business goals and provide visibility into pipeline health.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Support:
- Work with sales, marketing, and finance teams to define key business questions, identify data sources, and develop reporting solutions.
Assist in aligning and integrating marketing and sales data to ensure a unified understanding of customer interactions and business performance. Provide ongoing support for teams to ensure they understand and effectively use the reports and dashboards to guide strategy.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Revenue/Sales Operations Analyst or in a similar role within the sales and marketing function of a B2B SaaS company. 2 Strong experience with sales and marketing metrics, reporting, and analysis, including hands-on experience using HubSpot, or SFDC, and other marketing analytics platforms.
In-depth knowledge and experience in data modeling, data analysis, and building reports using Omni, and other business intelligence tools. Experience with Data Warehouses and ETL processes, and the ability to work with large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
Skills:
- Expertise in data analysis and reporting using business intelligence tools (Tableau, Omni, etc.).
- Proficiency with Salesforce (SFDC), HubSpot, and other CRM/marketing automation tools to analyze data and track sales pipeline metrics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to convert raw data into actionable insights.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query, etc.), Google Sheets.
- Strong experience with Data Warehousing and ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, AWS, etc.).
Ability to build data models and design systems for forecasting and reporting.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with statistical analysis, machine learning, or predictive modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of marketing attribution models and customer lifecycle management in a SaaS context.
- Strong communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
