Who are we:

  • We're one of two stockbrokers in India who've built our tech stack entirely in-house. This gives us numerous advantages like best-in-class order execution, faster iteration, turning feedback into features, and better uptime.
  • Due to being bootstrapped, we have no investor pressure that leads to short-term decisions. This has allowed us to remain committed to offering a better trading experience to our clients with no trade inducements, enabled by a minimalist UI.
  • We're in the initial stages of rolling out our products to clients, and are looking for folks passionate about building great products to join our team, as we take our tech to the next level.

About the role:

  • Design and Architecture: Collaborate with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and third-party service vendors to translate functional requirements and mock-ups into fully functional features. Architect and implement scalable, maintainable, and low-latency solutions using NextJS (TypeScript) for the front-end web application, Flutter for mobile app, and Golang for backend services. Ensure seamless integration across systems through well-structured RESTful APIs and modular design patterns, adhering to best practices in full-stack development.
  • Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code. Develop modular and reusable components, effectively balancing client-side and server-side rendering. Build scalable APIs, microservices, and backend modules using Go, ensuring high performance and maintainability. Oversee and manage the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance while observing timelines.
  • Technology Enhancement: Evaluate and implement modern tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve system performance and enable new capabilities.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, develop, and mentor a team of junior developers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Infrastructure Management: Management of data centre infrastructure from the network layer to the application layer, ensuring real-time monitoring, logging, and security.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Support: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide ongoing production support for deployed applications, including troubleshooting and bug fixing.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for designs, APIs, and processes.

You'll be a great fit if:

  • You are a problem solver with the ability to think through during high-stress moments, like an application failure during trading hours.
  • You have worked on distributing systems and on databases like PostgreSQL, Cassandra.
  • Have worked on an existing large code base to either scale it, improve it, or fix it via debugging.
  • We love people who take ownership and are resourceful, bonus points if you can prove this during the hiring process
  • Strong communication skills. We strongly believe in "If you're not able to explain something in simple language, you don't fully understand it".

Nice to have skills:
