Job Description: Regional Sales Manager - Starizo

Company Overview

Starizo operates a ₹450+ Crore automated food manufacturing facility in Virudhachalam, Tamil Nadu, with 500 Tons/Day capacity and 60-80% automation. Target launch is June 2026 under A TM Bio Energy brand. Products include rice starch, protein, syrup, maltodextrin, IMO (prebiotic fiber), and arabinoxylan for food, pharma, nutraceuticals, and cosmetics markets.​

Position Details

  • Title/Level: Regional Sales Manager (L2 - Manager), Commercial/Sales & Marketing department.
  • Locations: Chennai, Bangalore, NCR, or Hyderabad.
  • Reports to: Plant Head/VP Plant; CTC: ₹18-25 Lakhs (with incentives).
  • Mandate: Scale domestic sales from zero to ₹ Cr in 3 years (Y1: ₹25-30 Cr; Y2: ₹60-75 Cr; Y3: ₹ Cr); on board 40-50 customers in Y1 to by Y3; build 6-8 person sales team; maintain 20-22% EBITDA. Cover South, West, North, East India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy (35%): Develop go-to-market plans, market research, pricing, pursue opportunities in target sectors.
  • Revenue & Accounts (25%): Full sales cycle, key account management, negotiations, trials, industry events.
  • Team Leadership (20%): Recruit/train 6-8 executives, set KPIs, coach, performance reviews.
  • Collaboration (10%): Align with marketing, production, QA, finance; provide market feedback.
  • Analytics (10%): Forecasts, CRM tracking, reports, competitive intelligence.

  • Financial Acumen: P&L management, pricing, credit, ROI analysis.
  • Digital/Tools: ERP, MS Office, LinkedIn for prospecting.

  • Education: MBA/PGDM (Sales/Marketing preferred); B.Tech in Food Tech/Biotech/Chemistry valued.
  • Other: Regional market knowledge, 50-60% travel, English fluency, start up mind set.
