About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a dedicated team of trade and grounds staff, responsible for delivering electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and grounds maintenance services to a key client in Karratha (WA). This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership position as part of a broader contract delivering catering, cleaning, and maintenance services to approximately 600–700 residential properties supporting a state-of-the-art integrated gas production facility.

This permanent, full-time position offers the chance to work in a dynamic, highly regulated environment supporting critical energy infrastructure for Western Australia and global customers. With a strong safety culture and world-class assets, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing property presentation and maintaining reliable, compliant maintenance delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee trade and grounds maintenance operations ensuring quality outcomes, team performance, and safety compliance.
  • Lead a team of ~15 trade and grounds maintenance staff, plus subcontractors.
  • Develop & implement a comprehensive grounds maintenance plan to improve landscaping and outdoor environments.
  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance across the facility.
  • Coordinate preventative and reactive work.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide hands-on support.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records.
  • Drive team performance and operational efficiency.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring experience overseeing trades staff for preventive and reactive maintenance. You're passionate about delivering high-quality work and are deeply committed to safety; both for yourself and your team. Experience with grounds maintenance/landscaping and developing maintenance schedules and plans is advantageous, however not essential.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Trade qualification (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air conditioning etc.) preferred.
  • Experience leading a team of trades staff.
  • Current driver's license and White Card (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex issues.
  • Proven experience in scheduling and prioritising maintenance work.
  • Skilled in managing reactive works and quoting projects.
  • Professional, reliable, and effective communicator.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • "Can-do" attitude with a commitment to safety.
  • Strong customer service focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
