About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manager - Legal to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage a broad spectrum of legal, compliance, and corporate governance matters, providing strategic counsel to support business growth and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management
: Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including software licensing, SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, partnership agreements, and employment contracts. - Compliance & Regulatory:
Ensure the organization complies with relevant laws and regulations, including data protection (GDPR, CCPA), cybersecurity, export controls, and industry-specific requirements. - Intellectual Property:
Manage the company's IP portfolio, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Collaborate with external counsel to protect innovations and technologies. - Risk Management:
Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Provide legal guidance on business initiatives, product development, and operational matters. - Corporate Governance:
Support corporate secretarial functions, including board meetings, shareholder communications, and adherence to corporate laws. - Policy Development: Draft, implement, and maintain company policies, including privacy policies, employee conduct guidelines, and codes of ethics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB); additional qualifications (LLM, MBA, or certifications) are a plus.
- Proven experience in corporate law, contracts, IP management, compliance, and corporate governance.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and provide strategic legal counsel in a dynamic environment.
