Installation Head

Job Description: All India Installation Head

• Objective
• Providing Technical Inputs at various stages of the projects.
• Monitor cost parameters and seek to optimize cost
• Coordinate the design team for efficient designs
• Train the team on installation,quality and safety requirements
• Visit the sites and ensure the standards of quality and safety are met.
• Review project status and provide inputs for effective and efficient delivery.
• Evaluate the performance of the team and chart out training requirements.
• Monitor and collection of client payment as per agreement.
• Employee motivation training and Manpower Retention.

Technical Support

• Certify Costing and provide necessary improvements for efficient costing.
• Decide on manpower allocation considering technical parameters.
• Provide technical support for project costing and project execution.
• Review and sign off on proposals includes attending pitch meetings with sales representatives and providing technical input to calculate labour and material costs.
• Review and sign off tenders and provide technical input to calculate labour and material costs.
• Review and sign off on change requests, purchase orders, accounts receivable, write offs, credits and other necessary approvals as per delegation of Authority.
• Provide inputs to planning on project scheduling and fixing timelines.
• Certify handover from Sales to Installation department and installation to maintenance.

Project Related Roles

• Plan, direct, and prioritize elevator installations and manpower needs, utilize project management software and other scheduling tools as per the guidance of the planning cell.
• Review job status to identify risk and opportunity. This includes properly reporting fade issues prior to revenue.
• Vet design BOM and ensure the design is feasible for installation.
• Interface with corporate departments, including the factory, supply chain and labour and provide technical support and guidance to the branches.
• Mediate and resolve complaints and problems of external and internal customers.
• Determine what materials need to be ordered for job completion and coordinate and arrange for sub-contracting portions of installations.
• Make weekly and daily visits to manage safety, site activities and progress of employees and customer, documenting findings across all the branches.
• Approve material request plan.
• Hiring contracrors for work and responsible for contractor work order, rate negotiation, payment release and contractors related statustory compliances.
• Monitoring of liasoning work
• Order Pricing validity and helping in resale add on sales for Business growth as per target

Training and Supervision

• Supervise the team by providing direction and training and communicating company policies and procedures.
• Administer company safety programme including safety audits when necessary and stressing the importance of safety to all employees.
• Develop and maintain string working relationships with contractors, elevator consultants, construction firms and architects.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of all Central, state and local elevator industry code requirements.
• Maintain strong familiarity of company Standard Operating Procedures and products.

Team Management

• Continuous assessment of skill set inventory vis-a vis organisational/functional needs, identify gaps and induct right people.
• Identify training needs of the staff members and organise suitable training programmes for their personal development.
• Establish mentor programs for key staff members.
• Conduct periodical performance appraisal of the team members and guide them to improve their performance and build their career path
• Design and Plan and implement employee incentive programmes.
• Education
• BE /ME in Mechanical or related field.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in Elevator industry.
