IT Infrastructure Assistant Manager

Designation: Assistant Manager

Role Brief: The IT Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, deploy, maintain, and enhance a modern, cost-effective, flexible and secure IT environment at the client's EV Hubs and regional offices. The IT Infrastructure Engineer's responsibilities will include network, server, storage, desktop, data-centre/hosting, IT security, video conferencing and telephone operations and projects. Additionally, the infrastructure engineer may also support and develop specific platforms and will concentrate on unifying communications, messaging and identity toward a seamless user experience This is a high visibility project role, offering extensive exposure at all levels across the organization. It also offers a high degree of personal decision making and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.

Soft Skills: The Ideal candidates should have experience in project management and giving professional presentations. Good communication, collaboration skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management.

Tasks & Responsibilities: Responsible for project execution, leading technical tasks

for onsite planning and delivery.

1. Design, hardware implementation, software, network and telephonycapabilities.

2. Assist in developing operating, installation, and upgrade procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software.

3. Research, analyse, and assist in developing documentation and new processes and procedures collaboratively with Project Manager.

4. Manage infrastructure projects and communicate with internal customers.

5. Installing components on networks and servers and ensuring they work in tandem and can be executed without compilation errors in various platforms and environments.

6. Responsible for developing and maintaining company's virtualized environment (including web servers, database servers, VMWare, Cisco, Citrix, SAN, directories, hyper integration, etc.).

7. Manages data backup, disaster recovery backup, data migration, log analysis, troubleshooting and virtual tuning of the company's infrastructure operation.

8. Perform capacity planning for Storage Area Networks and provide recommendations for expansion and growth.

9. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and telephony issues.

10. Monitors capacity versus utilization for hardware, system throughput, and licensing

11. Review and supports all requests for services/solutions and assists user in identifying and deigning business solutions exploiting data centre infrastructure services.

12. Updating any software and hardware where necessary.

13. Ensuring the smooth flow of data throughout an organization, including resolving desktop computer and phone (video conferencing) issues.

14. Optimizing performance of databases, networks, applications, and servers.

15. Perform Help Desk and support activities, as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Degree in an Engineering or Science related discipline (e.g., Software, IT, Networking, Information Systems)

2. Certifications from Microsoft Azure, AWS, MCITP, CCNP and VCP, VMware, etc.

Work Experience: 5 to 7 years

1. Experience in undertaking a green-field project to completion (Design, Analysis and DFX)

2. Strong grasp of TCP/IP concepts, VLANs, Wireless Networking technologies and security, VPN, Identity Access Management, VOIP concepts

3. Working knowledge of Clouds (Azure, AWS). Understanding of NAS and NAS to Cloud configurations.

4. Working knowledge in PowerShell scripting or any other form of scripting and automation

5. Expert in Networking for switch, router, firewall; Acquaintance of security equipment such as WAF, IPS, IDS, and GAP.

6. Experience in vendor management to manage outsourced work
