Roles
The HR Data Specialist - Manager role is a leadership and operational position responsible for the integrity, governance, and management of all employee data within the HR function, primarily utilising Workday.The role requires an individual with good years of team leadership experience in an HR setting, strong proficiency in HR legislation/compliance, exceptional attention to detail, a strong process improvement mindset, and the ability to work autonomously and manage projects across multiple time zones.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and Develop Team: Manage, coach, and develop a team of data specialists, serving as the escalation point for complex issues across the employee lifecycle (Pay, Benefits, Leave, etc.).
- Manage Data Lifecycle: Own the end-to-end employee data lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all transactions (onboarding, transfers, terminations).
- Ensure Data Integrity: Maintain, audit, and enhance data quality in Workday, enforcing data governance standards, naming conventions, and validation rules.
- Drive Optimization: Accountable for performance metrics (SLAs/KPIs), driving continuous improvement for operational efficiency, and coordinating Workday system enhancements/upgrades with IT.
- Enable Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders (HRBPs, Payroll, Legal, etc.) and regional partners (AMER, EMEA, APJ) to deliver a cohesive data experience and provide reports and analytics.
- Leadership Experience: Experience in an HR position with 3+ years leading a team OR significant exposure to HR Business Partner/HR Generalist work activities.
- Foundation: Possess a Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
- Legal & Policy Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of regional HR legislation/employment law, principles, policies, and procedures.
- Technical & Mindset: Demonstrate a strong process improvement mindset and a high level of comfort working with technology to develop HR solutions (understanding of LEAN/AGILE is a plus).
- Soft Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple engagements autonomously across time zones.
