Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

Job - HR Operations Specialist – Payroll Process

Reporting Line - HR OPERATIONS AMEA – HUB Delivery Manager

Grade – 15.

Role- FTC(Contract role) for one year only (1 yr)

The HR Operations Payroll Specialist- Processing the Payroll of India & South Africa Cluster countries and takes accountability and responsible for end-to-end payroll delivery, Leave & Attendance, Payroll Operations, Payroll Tax and Payroll Accounting.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.
  • Support for the Payroll data configuration in new application.
  • Perform payroll reconciliation includes CTC checks, variance checks etc
  • Performs HR Master Data validation in line with compliance, data privacy and service levels requirements.
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensure Payroll related compliance is processed on time (PF, PT, ESI, LWF, TDS).
  • Responsible for updates to Internal payroll processing software, systems, and procedures based on the changes as per the Income tax and Labor laws.
  • Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions.
  • Ensures adherence to AskHR's Way of Working.
  • Ensures all HR processes incorporate appropriate control mechanisms, including 4-eye-check, data protection and country legal/regulatory compliance tasks.
  • Builds strong working relationships with various cross-functional groups throughout Human Resources.
  • Champion ABB core values and LEAN initiatives.

Required Skill.

  • 5+ years of experience with extensive knowledge of the payroll function, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Good knowledge of labor law.
  • Understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes PAN India.
  • Payroll experience in SAP, payroll integration knowledge and working knowledge in Workday application.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, and professionalism.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload.
  • Ensures that enquiries raised in Ask HR tool are answered and transactional activities are done.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of passion and commitment.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
