Job Summary

Service Squad Estimating is a premier US-based construction estimating firm dedicated to helping contractors and developers win bids. We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Remote Digital Takeoff Estimator with extensive US construction experience.

This role begins as a freelance position, compensated on a per-project estimation basis. You will be evaluated based on the accuracy and quality of the estimates you prepare. Successful performance and consistently accurate results will lead to an offer for a full-time salaried position.

You will be a vital part of our "turnkey estimating solution," utilizing state-of-the-art digital software to produce accurate and timely takeoffs for a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Your precision is paramount to our success and our industry-leading "$1 Million Accuracy Guarantee."

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail to uphold the company's gold standard: the "$1 Million Accuracy Guarantee."
  • Execute precise, detailed digital takeoffs from architectural plans, blueprints, and specifications across all project phases.
  • Develop comprehensive cost data including accurate material, labor, and equipment costs using industry-leading estimating software.
  • Collaborate directly with project managers and clients to validate assumptions and ensure estimates accurately reflect project specifications and current local market conditions.
  • Effectively manage a pipeline of multiple, concurrent projects, consistently meeting strict deadlines within a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of final bid proposals and supporting documentation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in US construction estimating, with a strong background in digital takeoff software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience in estimating the following commercial construction trades is highly valued:

  • Structural & Site Work: Excavation, concrete, rebar, ironworking, structural steel, and wood framing.
  • Building Envelope & Finishes: Masonry, roofing, exterior insulation, glazing, drywall, painting, flooring, and finish carpentry.
  • Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP): HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and low-voltage systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Contractual / Temporary, Freelance

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹35, ₹80,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 50 per week
