Job Title: Kitchen Manager
Position Overview
The Kitchen Manager oversees the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for food, organization, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision:
- Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Enforce kitchen policies and maintain professional standards.
- Food Quality & Production:
- Ensure consistent food preparation and presentation that meets company standards.
- Oversee recipe execution, portion control, and plate presentation.
- Collaborate with chefs to develop and update menus based on seasonality and trends.
- Inventory & Cost Control:
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimize waste.
- Monitor food costs, portion control, and kitchen efficiency.
- Work within budget guidelines to achieve profitability targets.
- Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all kitchen operations comply with food safety, sanitation, and occupational health standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain up-to-date records.
- Train staff on proper hygiene and safety procedures.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain kitchen schedules, payroll records, and performance reviews.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Assist in hiring and onboarding new kitchen team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of culinary operations, food safety, and inventory management.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
