Kitchen Stewarding Manager Role Overview
The Kitchen Stewarding Manager is responsible for maintaining hygiene, organization, and operational efficiency across all kitchen and service areas. This role ensures smooth coordination with culinary and service teams, while upholding safety and cleanliness standards in a high-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and schedule stewarding staff to ensure full coverage across kitchen and service zones.
Design and enforce cleaning protocols for kitchens, bars, storage, and service areas with proper documentation.
Manage inventory of utensils, equipment, and cleaning supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and storage.
Train and mentor stewarding staff, support during peak hours, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Collaborate with culinary, banquet, and hotel teams to ensure seamless service and event execution.
Oversee kitchen opening/closing routines and deep-cleaning operations, including third-party vendor coordination.
Enforce strict compliance with hygiene, safety, and food sanitation regulations.
Maintain logs for cleaning, inspections, maintenance, and follow-ups.
Supervise linen handling, waste segregation, and disposal in line with operational standards.
Skills & Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Proven experience managing large teams and coordinating multiple service points.
Physically fit for active, hands-on supervision.
Prior experience in high-volume hospitality settings is a strong advantage.
