Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and a results-driven leader to manage and oversee our critical IT infrastructure, including our co-location facility and end-user support services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our data center environment while leading a team to provide exceptional service delivery to all end-users. This dual-role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on technical expertise and proven leadership skills to maintain a robust and reliable IT ecosystem for our dynamic business operations.

Technical Expertise Required

  • Experience developing and implementing IT standards, policies and procedures
  • Awareness of Operations role and constraints in a worldwide and outsourced IT organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Centre shared infrastructure (Servers, SAN, Network optimization, Security equipment) and associated technologies (Cisco UCS, VCE, EMC, HP)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure software (VMware, UC4, Networker, monitoring, CMP)
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare), and Linux, UNIX (AIX, HPUX) and Windows operating systems
  • Broad range of understanding of ITIL, ITSM and industry best practices.
  • Ability to understand and deliver infrastructure services which are provided on a 24x7x365 basis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in passive cabling and data center networking
  • Experience supporting large-scale environments (e.g., managing 500+ servers).
  • Experience with Windows 11 suite and SharePoint administration.

Roles and Responsibilities

Data Center & Infrastructure Management

  • Operations Oversight: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our data center, including a primary co-location facility and a secondary site. Ensure a 24x7x365 uptime and availability for all critical systems and services.
  • Server and Storage Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of approximately 500 servers (100 physical, 400 virtual), including all physical and virtual server infrastructure.
  • Virtualization: Expertly manage and maintain VMware virtualization platforms and associated infrastructure.
  • Networking: Lead all data center networking activities, including passive cabling, network infrastructure maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Storage Area Networks (SAN): Manage and administer SAN environments, ensuring optimal performance, capacity, and data protection.
  • IT Infrastructure Platforms: Maintain and manage a mixed-environment of Microsoft Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Data Recovery & Business Continuity: Lead data recovery and business continuity planning and execution, including regular testing and documentation to ensure minimal downtime and data loss.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Implement, manage, and leverage monitoring and observability tools to proactively identify and resolve performance issues and network incidents.

Educational Qualification:

Engineering or CS Background with Data Center Certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDFOM), CCNA or other equivalent networking certifications would be an added advantage.

Experience :

15+ years of experience in Data Center Operations, with 7+ years in a broking/exchange environment and 8-10 years in Service Delivery. Prior exposure to equity or commodity derivatives preferred.
