Job Description: Relationship Officer – Mortgage & LAP

Position: Relationship Officer
Location: Jamnagar
Department: Retail Lending
Reports To: Branch Manager / Area Head
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview:
The Relationship Officer will be responsible for acquiring and managing customers for Home Loan (HL) and Loan Against Property (LAP) products. This role involves building strong client relationships, sourcing new customers, and guiding them through the loan application and approval process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition: Identify and acquire new customers for HL and LAP products through various channels.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.

  • Loan Processing: Assist customers in the loan application process, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Sales Targets: Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by the management.

  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for business growth.

  • Compliance: Ensure all loan processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan lifecycle, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum 10th + Intermediate or 10th + Diploma.

  • Experience: 1–3 years in retail banking, loans, or financial services, especially in HL & LAP or mortgage products.

  • Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills, excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with loan assessment, property valuation, and legal requirements for HL & LAP.

Preferred:

  • Experience with handling Direct Sales Agents.

  • Knowledge of local market dynamics and customer preferences.
