Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Oversee IT infrastructure (including networks, servers, storage systems and data centres), PC & end user support
  • Provide IT support for all business units in Mumbai and ensure business priorities are met to deliver technology solutions
  • L1/L2 end user coverage for standard desktop/user applications, desktop/mobile hardware troubleshooting and break fix, Zoom video conference support, user on/off-boarding arrangement, IP phone support, etc.
  • Backup tape management, patch deployments, AV updates, start of day checks.
  • 1st Level support of internally developed and vendor provided business applications. Bloomberg, Internal trading applications/CRM Tools
  • Software & hardware Inventory management and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
  • Collaborate with global IT teams on project implementations tasks such as testing
  • upgrade, migration and movements
  • Ensure security and compliance in the end user computing space
  • Budget and Resource Management - managing the IT budget for the region, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately to meet operational needs
  • Project Management: Managing IT projects within the region, including planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Comply with local regulations with local exchanges etc
  • Stakeholder management with country head, local business heads and regional IT department(s)
  • Engage and Leverage resources in other regions including the Pune IDC to deliver technology solutions for Mumbai business and be the single point of accountability for IT services to the Mumbai businesses

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT related area
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant IT management experience, preferably within IT roles in the financial services sector as a senior manager.
  • Experience working on India exchange regulations / compliance requirements
  • Senior Stakeholder Management and strong influencing and leadership ability, demonstrates strong personal ethics
  • Must have exposure to working directly with business-facing technologists, vendors, and other project stakeholders as needed.
  • Prefer candidates with regional/onsite experience
  • Good communication skills, technically sound with strong urge towards innovative technology
  • Experience in leadership of a technology group both in terms of man management & workload prioritization
  • Prepared to work unsocial hours as & when required
  • Demonstrates structured thinking, including recording/tracking/prioritizing/scheduling work against available time and resources
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
