Responsibilities

The Category Lead - Shipping Services Procurement will be responsible for:

  • Sourcing of Dry Bulk Cargo handling and chartering services
  • Chartering vessels to transport bulk materials such as Clinker, Gypsum, Limestone, Cement, etc.
  • Managing stevedoring and handling service contracts
  • Managing import and export shipments and overseeing documentation
  • Overseeing customs clearance of cargo
  • Managing various agencies including CHA, agents, shipping lines, port authorities, handling and logistics agencies
  • Forecasting shipping costs and understanding freight dynamics
  • Identifying and taking mitigating actions for factors impacting sea freight
  • Managing and overseeing international trade and financing options
  • Understanding various modes of international payments and financing

Qualifications

Experience

  • 12-15 years of experience in procurement of services pertaining to Dry Bulk Cargo handling and chartering

Education Qualification
