Role Description
Our Home Loan Savings teams at Deutsche Bank - Private Bank (TDI) develop and maintain applications for home loan savings business of Private Customers (BHW). Changes are implemented on time to market challenges as well as on development of the application landscape by using Google Cloud technology. In addition to the SAP-based home loan savings and mortgage lending core systems the application portfolio also includes the business partner data systems, the connection to payment transactions, as well as the interface to the frontends and the data preparation and delivery for the banks dispositive systems.

We are acting as a pilot for the migration to the Google Cloud with our applications and are preparing for the transition to an agile collaboration model. We are now building a team in India to work closely with the existing team in Germany, leveraging virtual collaboration techniques and the diversity of our team to achieve our goals of continuous delivery, process improvement, and internalization of technical expertise.

As Senior Engineer Software Logistics SAP you are responsible for the design and implementation of the SAP transport concept for our domain Home Loan Savings and its integration into the SAP landscape of Deutsche Bank. In doing so, you perform both strategic and operational tasks in the agile as well as in the waterfall environment. You work closely with both the management and the developers and thus contribute to the success of the growing domain Home Loan Savings.

Your key responsibilities

• You perform operational tasks of transport logistics conscientiously, ensuring consistency and a high level of quality in software development.
• You advise the team of project managers, developers, and application managers on the design of maintenance and business releases.
• Lead Risk and compliance process for the application as an IT owner.
• You accompany the digital transformation and application deployment in the Google Cloud platform.
• You stay up-to-date (e.g. Google Cloud Technology), supported by internal and external training, you are constantly evolving and share your knowledge with your colleagues
• Facilitate Disaster Recovery activities by reviewing DR plans and coordinating the execution of DR exercise for the application.
• Manage Internal and external application audits and Audit issue remediation activities.
• Manage remediation of gaps in application lifecycle management activities such as Account recertification, remediation of Application configuration gaps etc
• Manage application related Risk and Compliance Evaluation tasks and resolution of gaps in this area.
• Manage any IT Security incidents that may occur in the application.
• Plan and Manage Application events and Database Events monitoring using Bank wide standard monitoring tools.
• Manage application capacity forecasting and monitoring.
• Plan and manage Application user access related tasks.
• Coordinate and plan for Application Hardware / Software / License upgrades or migration activities to align to the compliant platforms.

Your skills and experience

• Minimum 8 years' experience in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of ChaRM/TMS and SAP Solution Manager.
• Knowledge in SAP development with ABAP / ABAP OO / SAP Netweaver in two or more of the following SAP modules: CML, CRM, CMS, CYT and BCA, as well as knowledge of SAP-based standard software BASS is an added advantage.
• Pro-active team player with very good communication and excellent English language skills for interacting with stakeholders, German language skills are a big plus.
• Experience with working together with Agile/SCRUM teams and their methods and tooling.
• Home Loan Savings know how and Mortgage Lending know how are a big plus.
• Should have extensive IT risk management skills. They understand the different service delivery approaches and the interference with the IT application's life cycle and identify opportunities to incorporate these approaches into best practice.
• Should have good understanding of balance between compliance requirements and pace of delivery. Should also have good knowledge on the SDLC processes.
• Should have knowledge on audit and audit issue remediation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and infrastructure to drive continuous improvement and resolve issues.
• Strategic Planning: Work with the Product Owner and team to develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the application, aligning with business goals, and technology trends.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to the applications performance, security and compliance.
• Change Management: Oversee application upgrades, patches and enhancements ensuring minimal disruption to the business.
