Primary Purpose of the role

The primary purpose of an Inside Sales Leader is to drive growth and expansion for a company by identifying and creating new business opportunities. The role is multifaceted and involves various responsibilities aimed at enhancing the organization's market position and financial performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership:

  2. Provide leadership and direction to the inside sales team.

  3. Set clear goals and objectives for the team.
  4. Motivate and inspire team members to achieve their targets.
  5. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

  6. Sales Strategy Development:

  7. Collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies and plans.

  8. Identify opportunities for sales growth and expansion.
  9. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.
  10. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales efficiency and effectiveness.

  11. Sales Process Optimization:

  12. Streamline the sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  13. Implement best practices for lead generation, qualification, and conversion.
  14. Utilize sales technology tools effectively to enhance productivity.
  15. Continuously monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, sales cycle length, and customer acquisition cost.

  16. Training and Development:

  17. Provide training and coaching to inside sales representatives.

  18. Develop training programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
  19. Keep the team updated on industry trends, product updates, and sales techniques.
  20. Identify skill gaps and provide targeted training to address them.

  21. Performance Management:

  22. Monitor individual and team performance against targets.

  23. Identify top performers and provide recognition and rewards.
  24. Address underperformance through coaching, mentoring, or disciplinary action if necessary.
  25. Develop incentive programs to motivate the team and drive results.

  26. Customer Relationship Management:

  27. Foster strong relationships with key customers and accounts.

  28. Ensure excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
  29. Address of customer concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  30. Work closely with other departments such as marketing and customer support to ensure seamless customer experience.

  31. Reporting and Analytics:

  32. Generate regular reports on sales performance and trends.

  33. Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  34. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
  35. Utilize CRM software to track leads, opportunities, and sales activities.

  36. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  37. Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer support to achieve common goals.

  38. Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer insights and sales feedback.
  39. Coordinate with marketing teams to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  40. Stay Updated:

  41. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in sales leadership.

  42. Attend conferences, workshops, and networking events to expand knowledge and stay connected with industry peers.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Prior Experience (at least 8 years) in generation leads and managing high performing teams for India, SEA and MEA market for SaaS companies.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and phone skills.
  • Minimum of 9-15 years of experience in Inside Sales.
  • Self-motivated and driven to plan and execute lead generation plans.

Good to have:

  • Should be able to build good working relationships across all levels.
  • Should be Able to work as part of a team.
  • Mentoring and coaching skills preferred.
  • Adept in working on CRMs.
