Position Title: Manager Retail Purchase

Reports To: Supply Chain & Procurement Lead, GBS

Location: Mumbai, India

Role Description:

The Manager Retail Purchase plays a key role in overseeing the procurement operations across multiple retail sites using Sodexo's retail procurement system. The role ensures effective stock management, timely purchasing, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Through collaboration with Australian retail leadership team, site managers and strategic analysis, the Leading Hand supports retail profitability and operational efficiency in line with company expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute purchase orders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
• Processing of automated invoices into the retail inventory system and providing gap analysis of anything requiring further attention.
• Supervision of purchasing officers within the team to ensure correct processes are followed.
• Liaise with site retail managers to ensure all inventory systems are managed in accordance with company requirements; including but not limited to accurately reported inventory and compliance to weekly stock takes.
• Monitor site deliverables, ensuring that all elements of the goods and services are delivered in accordance within the scope of work.
• Review the open purchase order report daily and take appropriate action to expedite the timely receipt of goods
• Analyze purchasing activities identifying opportunities for consolidation, bulk or package buying resulting in cost savings
• Implement corporate policies, procedure and quality control standards.
• Assist with the preparation and administration of procurement and inventory reporting.
• Escalate issues immediately if unable to be resolved, or where they require support to overcome.

Knowledge & Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate)
• Swiftpos or similar POS systems (Advanced).
• Hands on experience in any ERP (Advanced)
• Demonstrable and relevant experience in the retail sector or consumer products.
• Ability to influence teams with constant dedication to understand, question and improve the business outcomes
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail within a retail background
• A continuous improvement mindset focused on enhancing retail outcomes.
• Experience in supplier engagement and negotiations.

Qualifications:

Education

Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors

Preferred Degree Requirements: Bachelors/Masters

Preferred Major Area of Study: Business Management/Supply Chain Management

Experience

Minimum years of related experience required: 7-9 years of relevant Supply Chain Experience

Preferred years of related experience: 9-12 years of relevant Supply Chain Experience
