Job Description: Vice President – Business Development
Location: Ahmedabad (with extensive travel across India and overseas)
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Vice President – Business Development with proven expertise in the Defense sector. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the company's entire revenue generation efforts, which include ensuring product–market fit, driving successful trials, and enabling customer success. This strategic leadership role involves spearheading business growth, building high-value partnerships, and promoting our advanced surveillance solutions to Defense, Paramilitary, Police forces, and other critical institutions in India and partner countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and own the company's end-to-end revenue generation strategy business development initiatives for the company's surveillance and defense product portfolio.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Defense forces, Paramilitary forces, Police forces, and critical asset organizations.
- Represent and promote the company at defense expos, seminars, and industry events.
- Drive product demonstrations and field trials across India and partner nations.
- Ensure successful product–market fit, trials, and customer adoption
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic channel partners in India and abroad.
- Build and sustain collaborations with OEMs and international stakeholders to strengthen business opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Revenue and order bookings achieved.
- Strength and progression of the sales funnel.
- Number and success rate of product demonstrations and trials.
- Approvals obtained from OEMs and key defense authorities.
- Approvals and business development initiated in international partner countries.
Ideal Candidate Profile
· Mandatory: Ex-Army personnel.
- Mandatory: Prior service in the Defense sector with deep understanding of procurement, acquisition cycles, and purchase processes
· Must have retired within the last five years (not earlier).
- 15+ years of relevant experience, with at least 10 years in Key Account Sales with Government/Defense clients.
- In-depth understanding of defense procurement, acquisition cycles, and purchase processes.
- Strong aptitude for learning and applying concepts in Electronics and Information Technology.
- High willingness to travel extensively across India and friendly nations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Hindi.
Qualification
- MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics/IT/related fields preferred).
Compensation
- Competitive CTC of INR 45.00 LPA, commensurate with experience and expertise.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to ₹4,500,000.00 per year
