Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Vice President – Business Development with proven expertise in the Defense sector. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for driving end-to-end revenue generation, ensuring product–market fit, and building customer success. The incumbent will lead business growth initiatives, build high-value partnerships, and promote advanced surveillance solutions to Defense, Paramilitary, Police forces, and other critical institutions in India and partner nations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute the company//'s business development strategy across the defense product portfolio.
  • Build and sustain relationships with Defense forces, Paramilitary forces, Police forces, and critical asset organizations.
  • Represent the company at defense expos, seminars, and industry events.
  • Drive product demonstrations and field trials across India and partner countries.
  • Ensure successful product–market fit, trials, and customer adoption.
  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic channel partners in India and overseas.
  • Collaborate with OEMs and international stakeholders to expand business opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Revenue and order bookings achieved.
  • Growth and strength of the sales funnel.
  • Number and success rate of product demonstrations and trials.
  • Approvals obtained from OEMs and defense authorities.
  • Progress in international defense business development.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Mandatory: Ex-Army personnel with defense sector experience.
  • Mandatory: Retired within the last five years.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, with 10+ years in Key Account Sales for Government/Defense clients.
  • Deep understanding of defense procurement, acquisition cycles, and purchase processes.
  • Strong aptitude for Electronics and Information Technology concepts.
  • High willingness to travel extensively across India and abroad.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
Qualifications
  • MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.
  • Bachelor//'s degree in Engineering (Electronics/IT or related field preferred).
