Job Summary

We are seeking an SEO Team Lead & Division Manager with extensive agency background to lead our complete SEO division. This is a strategic leadership role for a seasoned professional who can drive business growth through organic search excellence while managing large-scale operations, client relationships, and team development.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing team members, handling 10+ projects monthly, and demonstrating a measurable business impact through SEO strategies that directly contribute to revenue growth and market expansion.

Leadership Responsibilities

1. Division Management & Growth

  • P&L Ownership: Take full responsibility for the SEO division's revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
  • Business Development: Lead proposal creation, client presentations, and deal closures for all SEO services.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive division revenue from the current baseline to ₹2-5 Crores annually through strategic initiatives.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities and develop SEO service offerings for enterprise clients.

2. Client Relations & Account Management

  • Strategic Consultancy: Act as the primary SEO consultant for enterprise accounts and high-value partnerships.
  • Client Retention: Maintain 90%+ client retention through exceptional results and strong relationship management.
  • Proposal Development: Create compelling SEO proposals with clear ROI projections and competitive positioning.
  • Performance Reporting: Present quarterly business reviews with detailed performance metrics and growth strategies.

3. Team Leadership & Development

  • Team Management: Lead and mentor 15-20 SEO professionals across multiple specializations.
  • Talent Acquisition: Build and scale the SEO team through strategic hiring and competency development.
  • Performance Management: Establish KPIs, conduct regular reviews, and drive individual and team performance.
  • Training & Development: Create comprehensive training programs for technical SEO, content optimization, and AI-driven SEO.

Advanced SEO & Technical Responsibilities

1. Strategic SEO Planning

  • Enterprise SEO Strategy: Develop comprehensive SEO roadmaps for large-scale educational platforms and course ecosystems.
  • Technical Architecture: Lead technical SEO implementations for complex website structures, learning management systems, and multi-domain strategies.
  • Content Strategy Integration: Collaborate with content teams to develop SEO-driven content strategies that support course discovery and enrollment.

2. AI-Powered SEO Innovation

  • AI SEO Implementation: Deploy advanced AI tools for keyword research, content optimization, and predictive analytics.
  • Machine Learning Integration: Utilize AI for automated technical audits, content gap analysis, and search intent optimization.
  • Voice Search Optimization: Develop strategies for voice search and conversational AI optimization.
  • Predictive SEO Modeling: Use AI-driven insights to forecast organic traffic growth and keyword opportunities.

3. Advanced Technical Execution

  • Handle complex site migrations, international SEO, and large-scale technical implementations.
  • Ensure superior site performance across all properties by optimizing Core Web Vitals.
  • Implement advanced schema markup and structured data for educational content, courses, and certification programs.
  • Lead mobile-first SEO strategies for optimal mobile learning experiences.
  • Work closely with web developers and designers to ensure SEO best practices are followed.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report performance metrics (organic traffic, keyword rankings, bounce rate, etc.) using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.

Key Requirements

  • Agency Experience: Minimum 3 years in established digital marketing agencies with a proven track record.
  • Project Management: Successfully managed 10+ concurrent SEO projects monthly.
  • Team Leadership: Direct experience managing SEO professionals across different specializations.
  • Client Portfolio: Managed SEO accounts with budgets ranging from ₹2-50 lakhs monthly.
  • Advanced SEO Tools: Expert proficiency in enterprise versions of Ahrefs, SEMrush, BrightEdge, Conductor, and custom analytics platforms.
  • Technical Implementation: Hands-on experience with JavaScript SEO, Progressive Web Apps, and complex technical implementations.
  • AI & Automation: Experience with AI-powered SEO tools like Market Muse, Clearscope, and custom automation solutions.
  • Development Collaboration: Ability to work directly with development teams on technical SEO knowledge of HTML, CSS, and content management systems (WordPress preferred).
  • Revenue Growth: Proven track record of growing SEO divisions or agencies by 100%+ year-over-year.
  • Proposal Writing: Expert in creating compelling SEO proposals with win rates above 40%.
  • Client Retention: Demonstrated success in maintaining long-term client relationships with high satisfaction scores.
  • Market Understanding: Deep knowledge of EdTech, SaaS, and educational services SEO landscapes.
