Position Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished 
Finance Controller

to lead our finance, legal, and compliance functions. This role combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on execution across accounting, compliance, governance, taxation, treasury, and legal affairs. The ideal candidate will act as a key advisor to the CEO and play a critical role in driving the company's financial health and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the CEO and leadership team to drive growth and profitability.
  • Act as a financial business partner in decision-making and long-term planning.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Monitor financial performance through KPIs and prepare periodic reports for the board and investors.
  • Manage cash flows and working capital efficiently while mitigating financial risks.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Oversee the entire accounting function including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, inventory, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with IND-AS/IFRS and other applicable standards.
  • Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.

Corporate Governance & Compliance (CS Functions)

  • Ensure adherence to corporate laws including the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and MCA/ROC filings.
  • Organize and manage board and shareholder meetings; maintain statutory records and registers.
  • Draft and review resolutions, contracts, and legal documentation in alignment with company law.

Taxation & Legal Oversight

  • Manage all direct and indirect taxation matters including GST, Income Tax, and Transfer Pricing.
  • Ensure timely and accurate statutory filings; handle tax audits, notices, and litigations.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on regulatory and compliance matters.

Treasury & Fund Management

  • Manage banking relationships, capital structuring, and liquidity planning.
  • Lead fundraising initiatives (debt/equity) when required.
  • Optimize use of funds and oversee surplus investment strategies.

Team Leadership & Systems Development

  • Build and mentor a skilled finance, accounts, and legal team.
  • Drive automation initiatives and oversee implementation of ERP and financial systems for improved accuracy and efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Mandatory Qualifications:
     CA and CS
  • Experience:
     Minimum 15 years, including 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role
  • Proven track record in strategic finance, compliance, and governance
  • Deep knowledge of Indian and international accounting standards, corporate law, and taxation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical capabilities
