About The Opportunity
A rapidly-scaling player in the forex and corporate banking operations space is hiring an on-site Operations Manager to own day-to-day trade lifecycle, payments, settlements and regulatory controls across FX and treasury workflows. You will lead a cross-functional operations team, drive process reliability, reduce settlement risk, and partner with compliance and technology to scale operational resilience for high-volume FX activity.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end forex and treasury operations: trade capture, confirmations, settlements, and reconciliations to meet SLAs and reduce exception rates.
  • Oversee payment processing and SWIFT message flows (including MT formats), coordinate RTGS/NEFT processing and intraday liquidity management.
  • Implement and maintain AML/KYC controls and transaction monitoring workflows; partner with Compliance on investigations and regulatory reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement: automate reconciliations, tighten controls, define KPIs/SLAs, and deliver measurable reductions in fails and processing time.
  • Manage, coach, and develop on-site operations staff; design shift rosters to cover market hours and ensure robust handovers.
  • Escalate and resolve settlement exceptions with counterparties, custodians and internal stakeholders; coordinate system fixes with technology teams.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or equivalent and proven experience in forex/treasury or banking operations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SWIFT messaging (MT formats) and FX settlements processes.
  • Familiarity with payment rails and settlement systems such as RTGS and NEFT.
  • Working knowledge of AML and KYC regulatory requirements and transaction monitoring procedures.
  • Practical experience with reconciliations, exception management and SLA/KPI-driven operations.
  • Ability to work on-site in India with overlap for international market hours and to lead an operational team.

Preferred

  • Certification in AML/Compliance or Treasury operations.
  • Experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE or other core banking platforms.
  • Familiarity with ISO 20022 migration and reporting tools such as Power BI.
