About Us:

TutorC is a dynamic and student-focused educational services provider dedicated to helping students achieve academic excellence. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced AP Biology Tutor to support high school students in mastering the AP Biology curriculum and preparing for the AP exam.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and engaging tutor who can provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in Advanced Placement Biology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, experience with the AP Biology exam, and a talent for explaining complex scientific concepts in an accessible and engaging way.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized or group tutoring sessions to high school students in AP Biology.
  • Develop customized lesson plans based on each student's strengths and weaknesses.
  • Assist students in mastering topics such as cellular biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and physiology.
  • Help students develop strong test-taking strategies and prepare for the AP Biology exam.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Communicate regularly with students and/or parents about progress and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology or a related field (required).
  • Prior experience tutoring or teaching AP Biology (required).
  • Strong understanding of the AP Biology curriculum and exam format.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
  • [Optional] Teaching credential or certification is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Experience with online tutoring platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
  • Familiarity with College Board AP standards.
  • Previous score of 4 or 5 on the AP Biology exam (if recently taken).
