Job Title: Presale Closure Specialist
Location : Kolkata (Newtown)
Job Summary:
The Presale Closure Specialist plays a critical role in the sales cycle, bridging the gap between sales and delivery. This role is responsible for managing all activities leading up to the deal closure — understanding customer needs, customizing solutions, preparing proposals, demonstrating value, and collaborating closely with the sales and technical teams to ensure successful and timely deal closure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with potential customers to understand their business challenges and technical requirements.
- Conduct detailed needs assessments to tailor product or service solutions.
- Collaborate with sales and technical teams to design customized proposals and presentations.
- Lead product demonstrations and solution workshops to illustrate benefits and value.
- Develop and finalize customer proposals including pricing, timelines, and deliverables.
- Respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) effectively.
- Manage the presale process to move qualified leads towards successful deal closure.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover post-deal closure.
- Provide transactional support and follow-up to enhance customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies to provide strategic insights.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in presales, solution consulting, or sales support roles.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and customer engagement strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand technical product details and translate them into customer benefits.
- Skilled in proposal development, RFP response, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and proposal software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Relevant degree or certification in Business, Sales, Technology, or related fields preferred.
