About The ETS Apprenticeship Program
ETS engages Apprentices under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) in compliance with the Apprenticeship Act. The goal is to provide practical training, foster skill development, and ensure compliance with the Apprenticeship Act, thereby enhancing employability and contributing to the organization's workforce development goals.
About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Apprentice to join our Human Resources team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in HR, while gaining hands-on experience and working toward a recognized qualification.
As an HR Apprentice, you'll be involved in a variety of HR functions, supporting the team in delivering essential people services such as onboarding, training, and employee relations.
- Assist in the onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Maintain and update employee records in HR systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Help prepare HR documents such as employment contracts, letters, and reports.
- Support training and development activities, including tracking attendance and organizing sessions.
- Respond to general HR queries and escalate as needed.
- Assist with HR events, communications, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
Training and Supervision
- Each apprentice will be assigned a supervisor/mentor for guidance.
- Training modules and objectives will be shared at the start of the program.
- Regular evaluations will be conducted to monitor progress.
Apprentices Must Meet The Following Criteria
- Be enrolled under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree as specified under the Apprenticeship Act.
- Not have previously undergone similar apprenticeship training.
- Meet the age and eligibility criteria outlined in the Apprenticeship Act (e.g., typically 16–25 years, unless exceptions apply).
Knowledge/Skills Required For The HR Coordinator Apprenticeship
- Have an awareness of HR systems or administrative experience
- Basic understanding of employment law or HR best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Professional demeanor
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine interest in Human Resources and working with people.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Eagerness to learn and work as part of a team.
For Apprentices
- Register on the NATS portal ) and provide the unique registration number.
- Submit all required documents during onboarding, including proof of registration.
- Complete verification by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT)
