The MIS Head will lead the Management Information Systems department and be responsible for overseeing the collection, analysis, and reporting of business data to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong leadership skills, deep understanding of data management systems, and the ability to implement efficient MIS processes that align with organizational goals.

Role & responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the MIS strategy, policies, and systems for the organization
  • Lead the MIS team in data collection, validation, and analysis to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Design and implement management dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor business performance.
  • Collaborate with different departments to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of MIS software and tools.
  • Train and mentor MIS team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Analyze business trends and provide reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to MIS software and services.
  • Drive automation and process improvements within the MIS function.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CBIP) preferred.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in MIS management or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of database management, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and reporting software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience with ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Knowledge of data governance and security standards.
