The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients, retaining key accounts, and expanding business opportunities within the exhibitions and events sector. The role requires a strong network, deep understanding of exhibition operations, and the ability to develop strategic partnerships with exhibitors, sponsors, and trade associations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Sales
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in domestic and international exhibitions, trade shows, and B2B events.
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Pitch exhibition participation and sponsorship packages to corporate clients, industry associations, and government bodies.
Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation and proposal development to negotiation and closure.
Build a strong pipeline of clients across multiple industry verticals.
- Client Relationship Management
Maintain long-term relationships with key exhibitors, sponsors, and partners.
Understand client needs to offer customized exhibition solutions and ensure high satisfaction levels.
Serve as a strategic point of contact for key accounts during pre-show, show, and post-show stages.
- Market Research & Strategy
Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new industry segments.
Develop business plans and go-to-market strategies for new exhibitions or show expansions.
Collaborate with marketing, operations, and design teams to create impactful show concepts and promotional campaigns.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor and guide junior business development executives.
Coordinate with internal departments (marketing, operations, finance) to ensure smooth delivery of exhibition projects.
Represent the company at networking events, trade associations, and industry forums.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Proven experience in exhibition sales, sponsorship, or event business development (minimum 0–10 years).
Strong negotiation, presentation, and client engagement skills.
Excellent understanding of the B2B exhibition landscape, market trends, and industry sectors.
Ability to create high-impact proposals and deliver compelling sales pitches.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable with travel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
MBA preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
