About the Role

The Senior Occupational Therapist will play a leadership role in assessing, planning, delivering, and supervising therapeutic interventions for children with developmental, sensory, physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. The role includes guiding junior therapists, supporting families, ensuring quality of care, and contributing to organizational growth through research, training, and program development.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental, sensory, cognitive, emotional, and functional needs using standardized tools and clinical observations.
  • Develop advanced, individualized therapy plans to enhance daily living, sensory integration, motor skills, communication, play, and social development.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions and adapt interventions based on ongoing progress reviews.
  • Support children in improving independence in self-care, education, play, and daily functioning.
  • Review and refine therapy plans prepared by junior therapists and ensure alignment with clinical best practices.

Parent & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Provide expert guidance, coaching, and training to parents and caregivers for home-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, speech therapists, pediatricians, and other allied health professionals for integrated child development plans.
  • Offer consultations and progress reviews to families to support long-term developmental goals.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and detailed therapy documentation, progress notes, reports, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure timely reporting in line with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate each child's progress regularly and recommend modifications to intervention strategies as required.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and supervise junior occupational therapists, assistants, and interns.
  • Conduct case reviews, training sessions, and skill development programs for the therapy team.
  • Provide clinical support in complex or escalated cases.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure therapy practices follow medical, ethical, organizational, and statutory standards.
  • Assist in establishing clinical protocols, quality assurance measures, and evidence-based treatment frameworks.

Programs, Research & Outreach

  • Lead or participate in research projects, clinical audits, and training initiatives.
  • Conduct or support awareness programs, school/community outreach activities, and parent workshops.
  • Develop therapy materials, resources, and frameworks for improved service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of clinical experience in pediatric occupational therapy.
  • Strong knowledge of sensory integration, child development, assessment tools, and therapeutic interventions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35, ₹45,000.00 per month
