Job Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Spandana Hospital in Bangalore. The role is full-time and requires 4 to 6 years of relevant experience. The Occupational Therapist will focus on assessment, planning, and implementing therapy to maximize patient independence and quality of life.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise in rehabilitation, facilitating recovery through personalized therapy interventions for diverse patient groups (Mandatory skill).
  • Comprehensive experience with sensory integration for developing or restoring sensory processing abilities in clients (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficiency in neurodevelopmental treatment to promote improved motor function and daily living skills (Mandatory skill).
  • Strong ability in patient assessment, employing clinical reasoning and standardized evaluation tools to develop tailored care plans.
  • Skilled in treatment planning by designing and adapting interventions to address unique needs and help patients achieve therapy goals.
  • Proficient in ADL (Activities of Daily Living) training, supporting patients to gain independence in essential self-care and daily routines.
  • Solid understanding of assistive technology, recommending and instructing devices to support functional autonomy for clients.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers for optimal care outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments to determine patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities for therapy planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment programs focused on rehabilitation, sensory integration, and neurodevelopmental needs.
  • Guide and educate patients in ADL training to enhance independence and participation in daily tasks.
  • Recommend, train, and monitor the use of assistive technology and adaptive equipment for greater functional ability.
  • Document patient progress accurately and modify treatment plans based on dynamic needs and therapeutic responses.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care and positive patient outcomes.
  • Provide family and caregiver education on ongoing care strategies, home modification, and safety best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital, legal, and professional standards related to occupational therapy practice.
