Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Surat for a Sr. IT Executive. The Sr. IT Executive will be responsible for overseeing IT operations, providing technical support, and managing network administration. Daily tasks will include troubleshooting IT issues, ensuring smooth operations of IT infrastructure, and maintaining system security and performance. The Sr. IT Executive will play a crucial role in supporting the company's technology needs and driving efficiency within the IT department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure network availability and reliability.
  • Implement network security protocols and best practices to protect data and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support network-related projects and upgrades.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.
  • Perform network capacity planning and forecasting.
  • Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and trends.
  • Manage and configure VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Respond promptly to network outages or security incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other major network hardware vendors.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Understanding of network security practices and technologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools.
