Senior Legal Advisor:-

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to join the Legal Affairs Group.The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of matters including contracts, regulatory compliance, joint ventures, litigation, and corporate governance. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Kuwait's legal system and international oil and gas law.

  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on upstream oil and gas projects, joint ventures, drilling operations, and commercial agreements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including EPC contracts, drilling contracts, service agreements, and memorandums of understanding (MOUs).
  • Advise on compliance with Kuwaiti laws, regulations, and applicable international standards related to the oil and gas sector.
  • Support internal departments (drilling, HSE, procurement, HR, finance) with timely legal input on operational matters.
  • Manage and coordinate with external counsel on litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters.
  • Represent the company in dispute resolution, including local and international arbitration under ICC, LCIA, or UNCITRAL rules.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory frameworks affecting oil and gas operations in Kuwait and internationally.
  • Participate in due diligence, risk assessments, and legal audits for new projects, partnerships, and acquisitions.
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior legal staff and contribute to internal knowledge development.
  • Ensure company activities are aligned with corporate governance, ethical standards, and internal policies.
