Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Executive to lead and drive business acquisition in Operation & Maintenance (O&M) projects for Thermal Power Plants, with a specific focus on Coal Handling Plants (CHP) and Ash Handling Plants (AHP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the O&M consulting industry, with deep technical knowledge of thermal power plant systems and established connections in the Southern India market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and acquire O&M contracts for Thermal Power Plants (CHP & AHP) in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including plant owners, EPC contractors, consultants, and decision-makers.
  • Understand client requirements and coordinate with internal technical teams to propose tailored O&M solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, project pipelines, and competitor activity in the region to formulate effective market entry and business strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals in line with client expectations and internal capabilities.
  • Attend industry events, client meetings, and site visits as needed to facilitate business growth.
  • Collaborate with the tendering and contracts team to ensure timely submission of bids.
  • Achieve set business targets and contribute to the overall growth strategy of the company.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred) or related discipline. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Business Development specifically for O&M projects in Thermal Power Plants (CHP & AHP).
  • Proven track record of winning O&M contracts in the thermal power sector, especially in Southern India.
  • In-depth understanding of Thermal Power Plant operations, particularly Coal and Ash Handling systems.
  • Strong existing network within the power and energy sector in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel extensively within the region.

Preferred Background:

  • Worked with an O&M consulting/services company involved in thermal power plant maintenance.
  • Hands-on exposure to project and client management in the Southern region.
