Expanding on this strong foundation, Techlocal is now creating a Solar Vertical with a mission to empower electricians and ITI-trained professionals to participate in the renewable energy ecosystem. By focusing on Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), and Installation & Commissioning (I&C), Techlocal is enabling local talent to take up smaller but critical solar tasks. Through our Learning Management System (LMS), vendors can upgrade their skills, gain confidence, and secure sustainable livelihoods while contributing to India's clean energy future.

Role Purpose

As a Solar Vendor Onboarding Specialist, you will be responsible for bringing new vendors (electricians, ITI-trained professionals) onto the Techlocal platform. Through cold calls and outreach, you will educate prospects on how their skills can be applied to solar O&M tasks, build trust, and guide them through the onboarding process. This role is remote and requires accountability, self-drive, and energy. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct cold calling and outreach to ITI graduates, electricians, and local service technicians.
  • Educate prospects about Techlocal's vision and explain how their skills fit into solar O&M opportunities.
  • Persuasively explain the onboarding steps and benefits of joining Techlocal.
  • Build trust with potential vendors and motivate them to join the platform.
  • Maintain accurate outreach records, call logs, and conversions in CRM.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (training, verification, operations) for smooth onboarding.
  • Own and achieve weekly/monthly onboarding targets.
  • Report progress and share vendor feedback to improve the onboarding program.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Fluency in Marathi is mandatory.
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills.
  • Prior experience in cold calling, telesales, or community engagement.
  • Understanding of the electrician/ITI ecosystem is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Self-driven, accountable, and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Energetic personality with the ability to inspire trust and confidence.
  • Quick learner who can simplify technical concepts.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Additional fluency in Hindi/English is a strong plus.
