Job Summary:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) at
Hammer and Nail
will be responsible for managing strategic retail clients and driving business growth through customized fixture solutions. This role focuses on building long-term partnerships with retail chains, brands, and distributors, ensuring seamless execution from design to manufacturing and installation of retail fixtures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with key retail clients such as brand owners, retail chains, and franchise partners
- Act as the single point of contact for key accounts from inquiry to order execution and post-installation support
- Understand client store design, merchandising, and rollout requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams including design, production, procurement, quality, logistics, and installation
- Develop account plans to achieve sales targets and improve account profitability
- Drive repeat business through new store rollouts, refurbishments, and seasonal programs
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms
- Track order status, production timelines, and ensure on-time delivery and installation
- Handle escalations related to quality, timelines, or commercial issues
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely collections from key accounts
- Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and client presentations
- Stay updated on retail trends, materials, and fixture innovations
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of retail fixtures, shopfitting, furniture, or interior fit-out industry
- Excellent coordination and project management abilities
- Negotiation and commercial acumen
- Ability to read drawings, BOQs, and understand manufacturing processes
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field
- 4–8 years of experience in key account management, sales, or project coordination within retail fixtures, shopfitting, interiors, or manufacturing
- Experience working with large retail brands or multi-location rollouts preferred
