
Business Head – Roads

Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership and Growth Strategize sustainable growth of the Roads business, Spearhead innovation and market disruption to maintain a competitive advantage. Cultivate acquisitions and other inorganic growth opportunities to expand the business footprint. Mentor the formulation and communication of a clear vision for the ROADS business, aligning long-term goals with evolving market dynamics and stakeholder expectations, driving the company towards future growth and resilience.
- Business Expansion and Growth Empower respective business leadership to manage their overall business numbers such as P&L as per short term and long-term target wrt overall business profit and planning. Strategize and align business heads to drive transformation and expansion of the business organically / inorganically Develop strong relationships with other business leaders to drive growth and have further avenues for business for Roads division. Direct various functions such as finance, procurement, digital and human resources to enhance business efficiency and foster innovation in execution
- Financial Performance Management Shape the financial health of the ROADS business, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Guide business heads, to elevate financial performance by shaping strategies that optimize costs and enhance revenue potential Champion visionary financial objectives in alignment with the Adani Group's overarching strategic direction, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term value creation across all business sectors
- Stakeholder Management Steer high-level engagement with government bodies, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to shape and align regulatory policies that drive business growth and support the Adani Group's strategic priorities. Foster relationships and guide internal stakeholders to navigate the same with regulatory authorities that help business, and secure beneficial and non-beneficial incentives for ROADS, and Adani group. Build continuous and strong alignment with Adani Group companies to explore and leverage cross-business opportunities
- Corporate Governance, Ethics and Compliance Oversee the implementation of governance frameworks for the whole organisation that ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements across the ROADS business. Guide the development risk, controls, and compliance frameworks, ensuring they are embedded within all business processes. Align business heads to steer strategic initiatives to refine business processes and boost operational efficiency
- People Management and Leadership Champion succession planning and talent development efforts to foster a strong leadership pipeline within the ROADS business. Advocate for job rotation and exposure opportunities to cultivate a versatile and resilient workforce. Guide a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and high performance with business heads
- Digital Dexterity and Innovation Champion the integration of technology and digital solutions to drive efficiency, innovation, and business growth.
Qualifications
Work Experience
Extensive experience in project execution from Infrastructure industry, exposure to P&L and preference is given to those having exposure in PPP projects.
Education Qualification:
Engineering degree from a recognized institution - Master's degree in a relevant field from a reputed institute
Certification required:
Relevant certifications in Project Management or Infrastructure Management (preferred)
