About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QC-1 Mechanical Engineer to join our quality assurance team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical inspection, quality control processes, and proficiency with mechanical drawings and measurement instruments. You will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical components and assemblies meet required standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of mechanical components and assemblies.

  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes using precision measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.).

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and quality standards.

  • Identify non-conformities, document inspection results, and raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required.

  • Collaborate with production, design, and procurement teams to resolve quality-related issues.

  • Ensure calibration of inspection tools and maintain records as per ISO/QMS standards.

  • Support internal and external audits with proper documentation.

  • Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance quality and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical QC/QA (preferably in manufacturing, fabrication, or machining industries).

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection standards and GD&T.

  • Proficiency in using quality measurement tools and instruments.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.

  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in vendor quality inspection.

  • Exposure to material testing and welding inspection.

  • Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
