About the role:
MEICON is adding a QA/QC Engineer with specialization in Civil and Construction Engineering to our fast-growing team. As a QA/QC Engineer, the individual will be part of an ever-growing organization executing Highrise Residential Projects in India & has enormous potential for career growth.
Location: Gattahalli, Bangalore, Karnataka.

Skills and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Develop and monitor the project's quality assurance plan and inspection schedule, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual specifications across all trades.
- Monitor all quality related activities on the project.
- Enforce contractor compliance with established quality control standards.
- Prepare and coordinate material samples, mock-ups, equipment, and fixtures for client review and approval.
- Implement, review, and monitor the testing and commissioning program prepared by contractors and consultants, ensuring effective execution.
- Investigate causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare the final defect list and monitor the contractor's rectification works within the Defects Liability period.
- Ensure the timely delivery of trade brochures, manuals, operational instructions, warranties, and spares to the client upon obtaining the Occupancy Certificate (OC).
- Develop a comprehensive, project-specific Quality Plan,ITP and Methodology to ensure adherence to required standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and improve quality of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in quality control and assurance.
- Providing supervision, direction and training to all QA teams under his/her supervision.
- Tracking, monitoring and controlling site inputs into the quality system.
- Overall knowledgeable of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner and, while supervising others.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials/components meet quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate all testing and inspection activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Develop and enforce a comprehensive quality control system to guarantee adherence to required construction standards.
- Develop a rigorous checking and testing procedure to ensure all systems are thoroughly tested and balanced before acceptance.
- Coordinate all testing required by technical specifications and building codes, regardless of provider.
- Maintain meticulous records of all tests, inspections, findings, and test reports.
- Oversee and ensure trade contractor submissions of shop drawings, composite coordination drawings, and material samples comply with project requirements.
- Work closely with customers to address quality issues, gather feedback, and implement necessary improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in quality inspections, documentation, and reporting along with issuing monthly Quality Control (QC) reports to track and communicate quality performance.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership when leading quality improvement projects or initiatives.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new skills and technologies related to quality assurance and control.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 6-10 years working experience.
- Sound knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations and standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with extraordinary negotiation abilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to solve problems and think on your feet.
