Role Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving business growth, generating room and banquet sales, building and maintaining client relationships, and ensuring achievement of revenue targets. The role requires proactive market development, customer engagement, and effective coordination with the operations team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across corporate, travel agents,
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for rooms, and other hotel services.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Manage online and offline sales channels (OTAs, travel agents, corporate accounts).
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel partners, and event organizers.
- Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and property visits.
- Handle guest queries and complaints in coordination with the operations team to ensure repeat business.
3. Marketing & Promotion
- Work with the marketing team to create promotional packages, seasonal offers, and campaigns.
- Represent the hotel in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing strategies.
4. Revenue & Reporting
- Prepare sales forecasts, weekly/monthly reports, and track performance against targets.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to maximize profitability.
- Monitor performance of different market segments and suggest improvements.
5. Team Coordination
- Coordinate with the front office, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide sales training and motivation to junior staff when required.
